Supporting Tornado Victims in Missouri and Kentucky

In May 2025, a series of violent storms and tornadoes devastated communities across Missouri and Kentucky.

Dozens of lives were lost, entire neighborhoods were destroyed, and families were left without homes, power, or a clear path forward. The destruction was especially severe in places like London, Kentucky and Sikeston, Missouri, where wind speeds tore through homes, schools, and businesses with little warning.

In Kentucky, Union County took a huge hit as well as the tornado that swept through Laurel County, resulting in at least 17 deaths in that area alone. Over in Missouri, cities like St. Louis and smaller towns across Scott County faced widespread destruction. Many residents are now sifting through what remains of their homes, trying to salvage memories and figure out how to begin again.

In moments like this, action speaks louder than words. If you’re looking for ways to help those affected by the tornadoes, consider donating to the organizations that are actively working on the ground to provide relief and support.

World Central Kitchen (WCK)

World Central Kitchen has deployed its relief team to affected areas in both states. They are preparing and distributing meals to displaced families and first responders to ensure access to hot, nutritious food during this period of crisis.

Mercy Chefs

Mercy Chefs, a Portsmouth-based disaster relief nonprofit, is on the ground in Missouri and Kentucky. They are serving professionally prepared hot meals to victims, volunteers, and first responders, helping to meet urgent nutritional needs while families wait for power and services to be restored.

Samaritan’s Purse

Samaritan’s Purse has deployed their Disaster Relief Units to communities like Laurel County and St. Louis. Their volunteers are helping clear debris, patch roofs, and offer spiritual care to families who are coping with deep loss.

In Closing..

While these organizations focus on broad relief, this tragedy has also hit close to home for us.

Our dear friends Ben and Kodi lost their home in this disaster. They are safe, but their belongings, memories, and sense of stability were taken instantly. As they begin the process of rebuilding, we are standing beside them, and we ask you to do the same.

Please consider supporting Ben and Kodi’s recovery efforts through their GoFundMe page:
